Hi, my name is Cawetha Mitchell and I had weight loss surgery in February 07. I had a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, where the stomach is made to resemble a small banana because 75-80% is removed. My recovery was great and the pain was minimal and handled by the capable and friendly nurses during my two day stay at the hospital. Dr. Kelly and his team were the nicest medical professionals that I've ever dealt with. They went out of their way to accommodate me completely. I was treated with total kindness and respect and I never felt alone. To date, I have lost 70 pounds. I have had no complications and eating is no longer an obsession; if fact, there are times when I must remind myself to eat. If I had to do it over again, I most certainly would....
