The HCG Diet, a weight loss program that requires participants to receive injections of the prescription hormone chorionic gonadatropin (HCG) while eating a scant 500 calories a day, may be on the way out in the Lone Star state. That’s because the Texas Attorney General’s Office has negotiated an agreement that limits the way weight loss clinics and distributors can market the program.
