I have suffered from obesity most of my adult life.  I was nervous about having any kind of surgery to remedy my problem, but I am so glad that I finally chose to take action to make my life better.

 

I chose to have the gastric sleeve procedure at Oasis hospital.  I was hesitant to have a medical procedure done in Mexico; but financially, it was my only option.

 

I have to tell you, I was treated like royalty from the moment I stepped off the plane. My partner and I were picked up at the airport and chauffeured across the border into Mexico in a nice car with a friendly driver.

 

The hospital was modern and clean, the nurses and other staff all spoke English and were very professional and friendly.  It was a relief to have the level of care I would expect in the U.S.  I had my own private room in the hospital, with a bathroom containing a shower.  There was a full-size bed in the room for my partner.  The entire staff was very accommodating.  My partner ate very well in the cafeteria; the food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful.  There was no extra charge for his food- it was all included in the package.

 

I had my surgery the day I arrived.  Dr. Ramos Kelly came to talk with me before the surgery.  He spoke great English and took his time explaining the procedure to me.

 

Following the surgery, the nurses and other health care staff were very attentive and professional.  I spent two days in the hospital, and then spent a night in a five-star hotel courtesy of Dr. Ramos Kelly.

 

After I returned home, Oasis staff contacted me regularly to make sure I was doing ok.

 

Since the surgery, I have lost over fifty pounds.  I used to have trouble breathing after climbing the stairs to my front door, now I can run up them without problem.  I have gone through two belts and people tell me I look twenty years younger.  I feel better about myself than I have in years.
