Dr. Ramos Kelly performed my sleeve surgery on February of this year. I was so glad I chose him as my surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and also a very nice person. He even has a sense of humor and I felt I was in good hands. I would recomend him to a loved one and would love to go back to Tijuana to visit him and the staff and thank them again for everything.

I am extremely happy with my decision to hhave surgery with Dr. Kelly. He is not only very kind and caring, and spends all the time you need explaining things prior to the surgery, I feel that he did the best work possible on me…

Surgical competence is obvious but to have a caring person standing beside you and holding your hand before you go under is priceless. Especially since most of the patients are coming from another country, maybe by themselves and away from their families. People are scared and apprehensive and to have that type of treatment really makes a competent surgeon an amazing surgeon. He even walked in to my room the day after my surgery to check on me, and I was on Skype with my family. He wanted to meet them and say hi and they were happy they got to meet Dr Kelly also. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. My experience was awesome! Thank you Dr Kelly for changing my life.

Trish was the very first one I have spoken with and immediately scheduled a phone consult with Dr. kelly for me.

I immediately felt at ease with him. It felt like I was speaking with a person versus the arrogant surgeons I have dealt with in the past. (and there are quit a few!!) At the same time he seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. Answered all my questions without any hesitation. Over the course of a month or two I spoke with Trish several times and she is absolutely fabulous. Very patient as well since I just could not make up my mind. My surgery was on October 18 and every thing went very well

The hospital (INT) was great with excellent patient care. Private rooms with WiFi and TV with American channels. There must have been at least 3 or 4 nurses on duty at the same time. Since there are only 10 rooms I think that is allot. The rooms were constantly cleaned as well as the hallways. Impeccable I have to say!!! Dr.Kelly checked-in at least 3 times after my surgery and also once in the hotel. All in all I felt completely safe and very well taken care of.

Dr. Ramos was very friendly, comical and personable. I believed everything that he said and he was very confident and caring when it came to his bedside manner. I was not worried one bit while in his care. The aftercare program could be a little more structured on my behalf, I keep putting off my check-ups (bad bad!). But I have intentions on starting back meeting him once my partner has her surgery. rnrnI rate him a 10, honestly. I have no doubts in my mind that he is a great surgeon! He was informative, strict about my care, and very dedicated to medicine.

What a difference the right surgeon can make. I was frighted to go some distance and have such serious surgery as VSG performed on me when I’m afraid of doctors to begin with. From the time my advocate, Cindy, met be at the San Diego airport, I started feeling more relaxed. Any question, concern or worry was quickly dealt with in a direct honest way. The hospital was better than most as to the attentiveness of the staff, style, comfort, privacy and cleanliness. The doctors staff, which was more extensive than I imagined, did a complete (was it ever) work-up on me. I had no ideal I’d be so well examined for my suitability for the surgery. Pain, which I’m not very brave about was handled without my asking, except once, when I asked and was handled in about 60 seconds. My last night in Mexico was at a 4 star hotel, which was my first, and a real eye opener at to how some people live. It was deluxe. I was off of all pain medication within 4 days of arriving home. It been 39 days since I got back home, and I’ve lost 53 pounds. I’m 61 and wish I’d done this 20 years ago. I had a BMI of 42. Food is still important to me, but it’s the nutrition which matters most now, and not how full I feel. There’s not enough I can say about the kindness of Cindy and Dr. Ramos-Kelly. I do it again in a New York minute.

As an RN I feel qualified to say the care I received from Dr. Kelly and his staff met/exceeded care in the US. The hospital FAR exceeds any I have ever seen here, in fact I didn’t realize we had arrived at the hospital on my admission! My husband & I were treated like royalty and throughly enjoyed our stay. My surgical experience has been positive without any complications. I am very pleased with the results of my gastric sleeve and would highly recommend anyone intersted to contact me personally. Dr Kelly & Gabby are compassionate about treating obesity as a disease and care about the person as a whole before, during and after your proceedure. To any of you considering your proceedure with Dr Kelly you are in the best hands possible.

Dr. Jaime Ricardo Ramos-Kelly was very professional, approachable and courteous. His English and bedside manner were excellent. I had minor swelling after my lapband surgery and no complications whatsoever. He and his staff heavily empasized the importance of total lifestyle change in order for my lapband to be an effective “tool” in my weightloss journey. He far surpassed all of my expectations as a doctor and I definitely would give him an A+.

My first impression of Dr. Kelly was that he was very approachable. He was extremely easy to talk to and his English was perfect. He was very kind and answered all of my questions completely. I saw him every day of my Mexico trip and he was even there to say goodbye to me when I left for home. His professionalism and bedside manner were great. He always made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

I first met Dr. Kelly and his wife Cecilia Ayala in May, 2005 because I had an appendix surgery with him and I had an infection due to the fat excess in the abdomen, which was taken care immediately and with the proper antibiotics, and I realized that I couldn’t continue like that, and I started to get information about bariatric procedures, the one that got my attention was the Lap Band procedure because is the less invasive. What I most like about Dr. Kelly is that he explained all to me and he told me al the complications that any of this procedures can bring. I believe that Dr. Kelly has extraordinary team. In my case I have nothing bad to say about them. I positively recommend them because they have a pre and post-operatory program. I think that they are 100% competent. My actual weight is 260 lb with a BMI of 51. I’m very grateful to Dr. Kelly and his team.
